Actual news story, from Fox
I imagine this will break down like most of these do. A few legitimately horrible cases (like 2 of the 3 above) and the vast majority being runaways and family custody disputes/kidnappings (like 1 of the 3 above).
Whoever made that TikTok should be ashamed for their bullshite.

Some of the children were runaways, Uthmeier’s office said. Some had been abandoned, neglected or abused. Some had been trafficked.

Michael Prescott was arrested on Aug. 21 by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with three counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor, one count of felony battery and one count of aggravated assault.
Prescott already had an active warrant for interference with child custody, according to Uthmeier’s office.
Robert Ferral Allison was arrested on Aug. 20 by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with lewd and lascivious battery on a victim 12 to 16 years old.
Jayden Allen Harwood, according to Uthmeier's office, was arrested on charges of interference in a child custody case and resisting officers without violence.

It is partisan in the sense the last Democrat administration did nothing to combat this
You clearly don't understand what's even being discussed if this is your response
You think federal authorities spend a lot of time with custody disputes or runaways in any admin? No.

Some of us have been saying for years now this is a much bigger problem than the media lets you know. Why haven't we heard about this sooner and why isn't it all over the national news?
You mean like…Meet the Fake Press?

Insanely few details.
We need to wait for the Hinds County Sheriff to weigh in

So no one responded so I'm going to ask again. I hate stories that mix categories. The video here shows children trapped in a basement Behind Bars. But then the story mentions Runaways as well as custody disputes. And they give you the number 163. So is that 100 custody disputes 50 runaways and 13 people stuck behind bars or is it 100 people stuck behind bars 50 runaways and 13 custody disputes? This is pretty fricking relevant and I've learned one thing when watching the news over time regardless of which news I'm watching. If key information isn't included it's because it didn't benefit the person composing the story

Welcome to the world of online dishonesty and claims of child sex trafficking.
They can't help themselves.

You will be called a pedo and child sex trafficker for using rationality and not emotionality when examining this story.

They do when they’ve been trafficked…..
Hilarious you behave exactly as predicted

Not this sort of trafficking. These are almost always state/local cases.
The story in OP is....not federal.
15 years ago this wasn't even considered trafficking, mind you.

Really it's welcome to the world of there's no such thing as real news anymore. As bad as CNN was 30 years ago by today's standards they were a model of journalistic integrity! And the same goes for pretty much every other Outlet. I'm not even sure the word journalist has an actual definition anymore. And if it does the only real journalists are likely walking around by themselves with one camera person next to them. Organized journalism is so dead it's not even funny

Why do all the craziest, dumbest people on this board have such a constant raging hard-on for you?
Reading page 1 of this thread made me feel like I was on drugs. You weren’t even posting in here yet.

I did a Google Lens search of a picture of the children at the beginning of that TikTok video and see it attributed to at least 5 other similar stories from the past.

Look up the Dunning-Kruger Effect
Confine that to a hardcore echo chamber of confirmation bias
Sprinkle in a good bit of emotionality

Not a strong argument, counselor. I’d advise you to reread 18 U.S.C. 1591.

About the kids he recovered in Ghana, Finland, and… Ohio.

I never said the feds couldn't act. They typically will assist local/state operations when investigations cross state lines, but they rarely run these operations.
Again, the story in OP is non-federal and a state-based investigation.
