That seems to be the issue here. The criticism is that only one kind of conversation is being had.

Feel free to find contradictory evidence.

While my LSU degrees have served me well, I hate what the institution has become. They will not get any more money from me and I made sure they know it and understand why. If you are doing likewise, make sure you tell them why you are no longer supporting them. And that jackass who keeps asking me to confirm my alumni contact information got an ear full from me as well.

This is the absolute truth. Universities also get too much government money via student aid programs that allow for the creation of bullshite diversity officers, useless vice chancellor positions, and worthless degrees. LSU needs to cater to the engineering and business graduates - people who actually contribute big bucks to the school, not the athletic department and gender studies majors who contribute relatively little. When my son graduated from LSU in 2018 all F'king could talk about was how many minorities, women, and the God-awful term "people of color" were graduating that day, not congratulating ALL students on a job well done. My wife retired from LSU and for the last 5 years of her career worked in an extremely hostile environment as a somewhat conservative woman; she couldn't wait to leave and went from loving LSU to absolutely hating the school.

This is where you are FOS. It is one thing to have healthy debate where you have give and take and legitimate exchange of views.

It is quite another that goes on .Only one point of view is tolerated and any dissent or disagreement not only is quashed, the holders of those views are persecuted.

Most of these institutions are state sponsored, and this is intolerable.

Even prior to all the BS, I never understood why I should give to a university when I am still paying for my doctorate almost 20 years later.

At least your alumni association didn't fly in CRT propagandists for them to host a lecture for alumni to explain systemic racism and how they're automatically racist due to their privilege of having white skin. Ole Miss did that a few months ago. It appears both schools are on a race to the bottom to see how woke they can get.

Fact. Is there any way we can see who donates and how much? My fear is that corporations are the largest donors and they are being shamed into creating "be less white' initiatives. If that is the case, your donation is a moot point.

Especially when:

The Fed Gov teet for higher education is the worst thing about America. People deserve higher education on the basis of merit, not just the completion of an application. Turn off the spigot, you solve a lot of problems with higher ed.

TLDR: Your donation is probably insignificant. Not that I don't appreciate your efforts, as I stopped donating as well.

There are hundreds of examples in the past 15 years of colleges being hostile to conservatives speaking on their campii. Cancellations, protests, and interventions.

I've said this for years; somehow going to college is no longer a privilege, but a right that should be financed by the American taxpayer. All this "everybody must go to college" has done is cheapen the value of a college degree. Jobs that used to be available to high school graduates now require a college degree, even low-level, somewhat menial, state jobs that could be had years ago with just a GED.

Cut off support after my youngest son graduated 3 years ago. Not. A. Dime. Athletics or otherwise. First they fired the Astronaut and a few years of the idiot FKing finished them off. And the hole is constantly getting deeper.

I believe most of us with conservative beliefs have separated from our alma mater in the past few years as they continue down this path. Ultimately, it is self defeating. The asshats that run the universities haven't figured this out yet.

I didn't renew my season football tickets. I've been going to home football games since 1970, and my family has had tickets in the SEZ since the horseshoe was closed in in the 1950's.

It's only February and I'm already receiving gentle reminders from TAF about my annual donation.

I'm going to see how things go.

Another idea that may have merit down the line..open new schools.

Private institutions where CRT is BANNED. Where actual curricula is taught again and a degree means something. Young people graduating from such places should have a leg up on those indoctrinated elsewhere, because they will be worth a damn where the others are not.

It will be hard for the traditional schools to last over the long haul, because the best and brightest eventually will not go there.

Except they won't get job offers from #Woke companies because, you guessed it - they will be deemed racists and homophobes.
