I’d much prefer they protest like this - outside of official team time. It’s their right to peacefully protest and doing this on their own time is much more appropriate than during a game.

what is it they are marching about? Please tell me its not about that clown in Wisconsin from last week.

Agree with my narrative while I try out for the NFL on a full-ride scholarship supported by your funds or you hate black people and you're RACIST!!!

We are expressing ourselves. That's a good thing, right?

Link to them saying what lives they are doing this for?
Death Valley was lit up in George Floyd's high school colors.
CEO said that the players were "hurting" after his death and that guy that was shot in the Atlanta Wendy's parking lot (forget his name and don't feel like googling).
Pay attention.

PewPoll: 71% of the Black Community supports BLM
EDIT: Even Drew Brees couldn't disagree. Is there a major singer, actor, athlete who's currently in the business speaking out against BLM?
But you don't think the LSU football team agrees with BLM's agenda.
Riiiight..
71% of the polled doesn't = 71% of the Black community. I was a part of it.

Whether you agree with it or not, bravo to them.
Grow up if you have a problem with it.

I wonder how many people here will revoke their fandom. They are real guys, not just players solely for your entertainment, they can do what they want
And we can choose to not support them with our money or attention. It goes both ways. It's hypocritical to say they can do what they want but we can't.

Also, do any of these students have family in the path of the hurricane? Sometime students need nothing more than a way to express themselves in constructive ways. I am really impressed with the approach from the team.

and there a bunch of jackasses in this thread just trying to dismiss their concerns and belittling them
What else are you suppose to do with concerns that do not reflect reality?
We're back to facts over feelings again.
You can try and inject as much emotion into this as you want, but I don't care how their feeling. I don't care how they perceive reality. Everyone has feelings, everyone has perceptions. Theirs aren't more valuable than mine or anyone else's, police officers included.

I’m still in. I said before on another board earlier that I didn’t mind them doing something like this, so props to them.

Act like a damn adult, let them exercise their rights, hear them out and then find a way to educate them or address their issue if it is reasonable. What we do everyday in higher education.
Do not jump on a message board and act a fool.

Not exactly, sure, but it's a very very large portion of the black community. Safe to say it's a majority.

Good now all the big talkers on this board, let’s see them stop watching LSU now. Haha your bluff just got called. You will still be watching. You will still buy tickets. All talk on you end!

You think LSU fans are at the mercy of the players?

This is exactly what you are doing.
You are angry at posters here for voicing views that are in opposition with yours. You want everyone to agree with them or not post, and you can't even see your hypocrisy.

I’m done with this shite!! Racism is over now!! Goodbye LSU!!

Why wasn’t this type of concern demonstrated for the innocent children that are constantly being killed by drug lords battling for turf?
