JBE ran against the ghost of Bobby Jindal who did nothing when oil crashed over 50% and blew the budget. We also faced the economic downturn of Katrina money running out.

Now we will get to see how he handles the same problem of an oil crash combined with an economic downturn.

Color me not optimistic.

I've have been yelling this for years as well. We we stomach RINOs and Liberals who want to only rub the bellies of defense attorneys in the state.

If any politician ACTUALLY CARED for any resident of the State of Louisiana, this would have happened years ago. A 30b dollar budget for 4m people is down right criminal.

Freshman Congressmen and Senators... you're on the clock and it's ticking... and we are watching intently.

shite, just removing the protections that exist for everything but education and healthcare would be huge in allowing legislators with a set of nuts on them to cut everyone's pet projects to get the budget under control.

Again, can you give specifics as to which cuts you would make when these alleged protections are lifted?

Can you name some specific cuts that would be made if they had a constitutional convention?

Everything.

So you would cut EVERYTHING and have zero budget and zero government? Or do you mean just arbitrarily assign a percentage and cut everyone x percent?

Would you cut funds collected from gas taxes? How about funds collected from hunting permits, driver's licenses, school tuition, and other permit fees?

Would you cut MFP funding to K-12 schools?

Would you cut funds that are dedicated to paying off our debt?

Would you cut protected funds that go to supplemental pay for law enforcement officers?

Would you eliminate the rainy day fund?

How much money do you think will truly be freed up?

I'm trying to understand what's going on in peoples' minds when they offer constitutional convention as a major part of the solution.
