b/c if you opt out, then your kid goes home if there is a breakout event at the school.
What's a breakout of Covid? who the frick knows, even the dumbasses from LDH couldn't give a clear answer on that.
also, if you have kids that aren't vaccinated at a school, even if they opted out, then LDH can shut them down, if they wanted to. Do they do that now for schools that let kids attend that are unvaccinated? no. but they have the power to if they wanted to, and i wouldn't be surprised one iota if they enforced this for covid vaccinations.

Reply to GeauxTigerTM... yes! at the mtg this was danced around and it is the one point brought up in every news article. The real issue becomes the abilities to:
1. shut down attendance at school for all unvaccinated students when there are two cases in two weeks at a school.
2. bar students from participation in extra curricular activities such as sports, band, choir..
3. The exemptions are legally permissible in public schools but there is no protection in place for children in private school or childcare. This will apply to each age category as the FDA rubber stamps approval for each group. What this means is the ability to threaten licensure...arrows in their quiver, so to speak.
It will also allow them to put pressure on schools that have "outbreaks", that pressure will be applied to families and children in turn.
4. Although it's a touchy subject it may place people receiving public assistance in a desperate position. At the meeting they stated it would not effect medicaid recipients but they could not speak of other assistance being threatened by noncompliance. I don't agree with being on assistance as a lifestyle choice but this seems wrong.
5. They are doing a soft sell... saying they'll have power they don't intend to use...that is illogical to the point of absurdity

My cousins daughter, 16 year old with no previous health issues. Has played basketball and soccer her whole life, little to no body fat whatsoever. Got the vac and now is spontaneously fainting and going unconscious. Have done cat scan and mri. Been to see cardiologist trying to figure out what is going on. But yeah it is a great idea to mandate a vax to healthy children with all of these similar stories adversely effecting perfectly healthy children. As long as the pharmaceutical companies are making money hand over fist it's all good.

That is on your cousin for allowing this to occur. Sorry for the kid that's life has been ruined due to lunacy by her parents.

I agree just don't know why anyone would want to mandate such a thing on children. I will homeschool mine before I let anyone get near them with that poison

Flu is a lot worse for children than covid is, yet it is on the recommended not required vaccine list. Why is John Bel Honor Code so hell bent on having it as a required vaccine against the wishes of the vast majority of parents and legislators?
