Just remember, this is what happens when unchecked liberalism runs amok.

LINK

This is from last year, it's only gotten worse. This summer will be worse than the typhoid outbreak last summer.

quote:

Tucker Carlson had historian Victor Davis Hanson on last week, where the latter said that California is on the verge of becoming the nation’s first Third World state. From trash being illegally dumped to city hall becoming a rat-infested den in the city of LA, it all points to the decay suffered when Democrats run things. Even police stations in the city are loaded with rats; one was fined $5,000 over its conditions that left one officer stricken with typhoid fever. It’s to the point where there is a possibility that bubonic plague—yes, the black death—may be present in the city. This isn’t new. Typhus outbreaks were being reported in February

quote:

And it goes without saying; these burgeoning homeless camps are not oases of hygiene. Dr. Drew Pinsky said this month that there has been a total and complete breakdown of services in the city that has placed the population at risk of infection and other health-related issues. The mayor’s office has sought to shift blame away from the homeless, citing the illegal dumping of trash, which only adds to the narrative that deep blue California and LA are just Democratic cesspools. I mean, how does this sound any better?

Dr. Drew Pinsky on Homeless epidemic/pandemic

California voters are the cause of this. Allowing sanctuary cities where you are importing millions of illegals with no food, no job, no money, no skills is just adding homeless to the problem. Then you take Proposition 47 and 57, that decriminalized crimes such as theft/robber/minor assault, and gave parole to those that were suffering from mental illness and let them on the street. Then you decriminalize drug use. Yes, all of you "libertarians" that want legalized drugs, this is the result.

Prop 47
Prop 57

Meanwhile, the city and state government are claiming this is merely just a housing problem. Which is bullshite. But in response, 3+ years ago California passed a bill for $2 billion for homes for the homeless. To date, they've spent $1.2 billion and not a single home has been built.

Three years and $1.2 billion later

quote:

The $1.2 billion bond was supposed to pay for 10,000 housing units spread across 114 projects. The units were supposed to cost between $350,000-$414,000. But with a median cost now over $531,000, including over 1000 units that will cost over $600,000, the 10,000 unit goal has been reduced by 24%.
Even with the lower expectations based on higher costs, movement is slow. Of the 114 projects earmarked, only 19 have begun.
“The length of time needed to complete these projects does not meet the level of urgency needed to match the magnitude of our homelessness crisis,” a new Los Angeles Controller audit report stated.
The homelessness problem in the city is growing to crisis levels as drug abuse and poverty force tens of thousands to the streets. Meanwhile, Proposition HHH was supposed to be a step in the right direction, but bureaucratic incompetence and the city’s radical progressive policies have only exacerbated the problem. Tax payers and bond owners thought they were buying a solution, but as government incompetence often does, they’re visibly disappointed by the results.
“Over-promise and never deliver. That’s why I stopped trusting this city’s government years ago,” said Hollywood resident Jillian Quaid. “We’re better off giving to charities than trying to let city hall do their damage.”

quote:

The audit also found that in fiscal year 2018-2019, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority only moved 167 people to permanent supportive housing, referred 598 people to bridge housing and 39 with with substance abuse problems to treatment, and connected 56 people with mental health conditions to services.

This meant that the group, which received a combined total of $54 million in funding from the city and county in the past two fiscal years, did not achieve most of its city outreach goals, according to the report.

There’s a reason leftist policies for helping the homeless invariably fail. Government’s ability to manage complex situations has always been lacking. Combine that with ill-conceived feel-good projects and we see progressive incompetence in action.

In 2018, estimated # of homeless in Los Angeles was 55,000. Due to california propositions that have passed, the sanctuary city status, etc... that number is easily approaching 75,000. 75,000 homeless drug addicts, and increase from 2 million to 12 million rats. Flea borne typhus. Thousands of homeless encampments. Literal human feces and needles littering the streets. Ravines littered with trash, human waste. Homeless fires setting parts of the city ablaze.

This is what you get. This is the liberal/progressive/socialist agenda at work. We've given the left real world, realtime examples of Venezuela, but they still thought "well that's over there, it will be different here". Now you have examples in our own country, in one of the wealthiest districts in the country, yet they are still pushing for this.

Is this what you want to see in every state in this country? This is no longer hyperbole. This WILL HAPPEN if liberals are given control. FACT.

Imagine trying to raise a child in that city.

This is why the California elite put up walls around their estates.

Also known as, the "good walls" and not to be confused with Trump's bad wall.

'Utopia' is from Greek meaning 'Nowhere'. The ancient Greeks were very smart.
