New taxes to help address violence.

Won't matter, still will be a war zone.

So democrats are finally sobering up from their silliness of two summers ago?

Doubtful. The political class just did what was expedient at the time and bent the knee to the SJW mob. The mob is quiet today, so they can undo what they did previously to placate it.
Never mind that they destroyed morale among police departments and discouraged many from taking-up the profession.

You don’t “redund” anything because it’s not a word. It’s a typo. Stupid people need this explained to them.
Congrats!

A typo. If you had more than 1 brain cell, you’d be able to rub two of them together to figure it out all by yourself.

Not really. It's just that eventually reality slaps them in the face after they try to live in fantasy land. Basically it is cyclical: Things are good/peaceful/prosperous in a locale for a time. With no real problems the more liberal leaders try to create their fantasy land utopia that can NEVER exist because of that pesky thing called "human nature". Eventually the locale turns to shite and the people get mad and frustrated at the government...so they beg for law/order and a more conservative mindset. The locale improves once more, leading to the desire to implement a fantasy land way of life once more....Rinse and repeat.
Just look at NYC. In the 1950's it was a boomtown. They 60's came along and activism came into vogue (though, admittedly, some was probably warranted). The city began a sharp decline and was a near bankrupt dump in the 70's. It wasn't great in the 80's, but it started to turn around with a more "conservative" mindset. Throughout the 90's it really improved and wasn't a ridiculously dangerous city. Things were pretty good into the 2000's...which lead to led to the people feeling safe enough to elect fantasy land liberals in charge...which have now sent the city back into a downturn.

So she's comingling finances from a Covid relief fund to payroll for police?
I'm not sure that's legal.

Gov't spending will stop violence

138 Houstonians have been murdered by perps out on reduced bond since Houston relaxed bond and bail policies according to KTRH this morning. Hurts minority community and the police worst.

Most of the police still there...are obedient and compliant. They will target and attack anyone that leftist politicians point at. Of course those good dogs need more funding.
