Looking back at Free Trade and a fact that Rinos don't get

Let's start with a KNOWN goal of Russia for the USA
This was entered into congressional record Jan 10, 1963. It's #4 on a list of 45 goals Russia listed to take down the USA.
There is a reason why communist countries wanted that. Because the nations that it disproportionately helps is the communist nations.
Why? Because the Gov of a communist nation controls business. It is an economical war TOOL. China has killed the USA in trade. NOT because people would not take a simple pay cut. It's because we can not compete with CHEATING. Nobody can.
The USA is solely responsible for building our biggest current competitor and they are NOT our friend. They are NOT our ally. We took our wealth and because of those RINOS who sold us out, sent it to a nation who is the polar opposite of what we are and made them RICH!
Globalization is a welfare system world wide. We took.....LITERALLY sent jobs to Communist NATIONS so CORPS could make a KILLING while we built up our .....enemy.
Many use Reagan as who they stand with and "he was exactly like me".... That BS.
Reagan had BALLS! He had a BACK BONE! YOU, my RINO Friends, DO NOT. You have been taught the USA CAN NOT compete. You are wrong. We can.
My favorite thing that I see rinos preach is the consumer will pay more for an item with money from BRAND NEW JOB that they DID not have because of RINOS! Circular!

Reagans tariffs involved some items that we were not allowed to sell in Japan. While the Japanese finally allowed products to be sold there, prices in the USA jumped dramatically.

Plus, you're just wrong. Trade is a way to encourage efficiencies in production with those efficiencies allowing mutual wealth building not wealth redistribution. Tariffs distort those efficiencies just like big government interference in the economy always distorts efficiency.
You are now firmly in bed with all the big international labor unions. They've been demanding tariffs for decades. Congratulations on your new found partnership.

Your not so simple that you can't comprehend that the US consumer is the one paying the tarrif are you?
Protectionist tarrif are socialism by definition plain and simple, there is no way around it.
Everybody pays more so someone else who could not compete has a job = socialism.
The issue arrives when China retaliates and buys more Kamatsu's forcing Cat to lay off more Americans pushing up taxes or debt. So we pay more for products containing steel plus likely higher unemployment in the value added side in exchange for a few jobs in the commodity sector.
Not exactly a winning stratagy, but that is far too complicated for you to grasp.

Restricting trade is never good for an economy.
Let's say the Chinese government was subsidizing 100% of the steel they produce and sell to us and that we are able to buy it for 50% of what we'd pay for steel produced here.
How are we worse off? We would benefit from their subsidies, not the Chinese.
It's actually the Chinese that are worse off, because the subsidies used by China were taken from their taxpayers....money those taxpayers would have spent in more efficiently than their government.
