I worked in a town of close to 30K people in Texas a couple years ago that didn’t sell liquor, smoking was allowed inside most establishments and bars all closed at midnight except on Saturdays when they could stay open until 1.
Had to drive 20 miles or so to get to the closest liquor store.

In Rankin County, Mississippi you can not buy alcohol on election day.
