News flash for you - in case you hadn't heard the Democrats just regained control of the House. If the House votes to impeach, it'll be the new members who do it and haven't been using that fund, at least not yet.
Wait he entire house turned over and is all new!

Impeachment for sexual infidelity
Again wrong. Clinton was not impeached for sexual infidelity. That isn't a crime to start with. He was impeached for perjury and obstruction of justice.

I know that. Look what i have in parentheses. The public is stupid though. Ask random voter on the street why Clinton was impeached, and their answer will be closer to my explanation than yours. Do you think I'm wrong on that?

the fact that Cohen pled guilty means he committed a crime
Pretty naive statement. However. As you noted...I didn’t read the transcript. Did he plead guilty to campaign finance violations?

No, I think you're probably right on that. The general public is no smarter than the Poli Board.

Just read what he pled to. It in no way is proof of campaign finance violations. And certainly doesn’t implicate trump at all. Do you know how the plea process works?
How do you reconcile your position with audio of trump instructing Cohen to do everything on the “up and up”.

You should read it. It talks about much more than just the campaign finance violations.
Yes, he pled guilty to those as well and claimed Trump had told him to do it. CNN gleefully reported this back in August.
Why does nobody here think nothing was illegal when the man pled guilty?

Again - read the filing. It describes more than just an audio recording or a "he said she said" accusation. Electronic records, emails, money transfers, etc. all pointing to the same conclusion.
If you haven't read the filing for details, you're just shooting from the hip without knowing anything at all.

Because the campaign finance violation is a huge reach that was construed for no other reason than to muddy Trump, he’s on tape explicitly telling Cohen to do the same thing in a legal manner.

Probably have to pay a fine.
Awesome us of public funds on the train wreck. With little to show for it

And none of that is illegal. Trump told his lawyer to do it legally. IF the payout by Cohen was illegal, that’s cohen’s issue. And that is a big if. Trump had entered into ndas prior to being a candidate. It was clearly a practice of his. That is a pretty strong defense to an element of the alleged crime. Additionally you have trump on audio while being surreptitiously recorded directing that it be done legally...to his lawyer.
You are taking huge liberties and bootstrapping your argument.

As I have already said many times, the details start on page 11 of the filing. Why don't you read it? It quickly becomes clear the only "huge reach" was by Cohen to conceal what was really going on.

What are the elements of the crime? Do you know?

Cohen himself said it was illegal by virtue of his guilty plea.

So worst case, campaign finance violations... which if I remember right is at the most, a fine.
