quote:Agreed, he is not everyone's cup of tea regarding his neocon politics, the crazy far right hates anyone that doesn't diss Israel, of course the prog left commies despise him....But I thought we had basic respect and decency? I imagine the OP will never change it.
Why the dramatic post?
Lindsey Graham Dead
Why not?
Lindsey Graham passes away?
Sounds like announcing someone had been murder or suicide.

Why the dramatic post? Lindsey Graham Dead Why not? Lindsey Graham passes away?
Doesn’t really matter if you say “passed away” or he’s dead?

Strange isn't it how two words that mean the exact some thing can have one treated differently than the other.
I find it strange that otherwise seemingly sane and logical people have a problem with the use of the term dead but somehow think it is ok to say passed.
I imagine in another 75 years people will stop using the word passed in favor of the term dead because passed now has negative connotations that dead no longer has but use to, way back in 2026!

I agree with your point but to me, passed implies passed from this life to another and dead implies final.. no afterlife. But in today’s world NO One gets this nuance so your point stands.

I understand and have no issue with the phrase, passed away. Like I said it means the same thing. I only brought it up because of people being offended by the dead person being called dead.
I will let you in on a little secret. It is "used cars"... not "pre-owned". lol
