I'd be willing to listen to arguments on reform of FISA, but I don't see how you could trust any part of the federal government to adhere to new guidelines. They don't follow the rules as it is. Just end it.

I think boosie has suggested they should have some type of ombudsman or review officer, but he/she would probably end up like the judges who just rubber stamp these things.

The CIA and FBI have spied on Congress.
Congress knows (ie: has verified proof) of this yet they've done nothing but make a show of their pissing and moaning.
If Congress won't clamp down on the DOJ for spying on them, why would anyone think they'll have the balls to do so for spying on random citizens outside the Beltway?

Agreed. FISA judges are corrupt. How will a bureaucrat be better?

Yeah, we are way past the point of reform on this one... In all honesty, the entire agency should be razed to the ground, then rebuilt as necessary... Until that happens, nothing changes with the DOJ/FBI...
