He will have to find a way to make inroads into reducing the magnitude and reach of the Deep State. These unelected and seemingly untouchable bureaucrats who are resisting the policies of Trump’s administration have to be rooted out and given their walking papers. It will be a tall order, but unless he can at least make a dent in the problem of Deep State resistance, his policy implementation will be greatly hindered. He also needs to fire the heads of the FBI and the CIA on day one of his 2nd term. Wray and Haspel have got to go!!!

What is the thinking that he didn't go scorched earth the day he was first inaugurated in 2017 when he had a GOP senate & GOP House and 4 years to kick shite around? Is the thought that he didn't realize how deep the swamp was? Was Paul Ryan feckless as speaker and corrupt?

Well, for one thing he was surrounded by swamp in his inner circle. I think the problem has been that there are just too few uncorrupted people in DC to choose from to put in cabinet positions, directorships, etc. And yeah, he also had "Republicans" like Paul Ryan working against him in the Congress.

If he wins reelection he is going ham on these folks. Or, actually, he will either way, win or lose. But let's hope he wins because if he does he is going to get a lot done in term #2.

I am as hopeful as the next but if nothing happened before the election that should have happened...why would I ever think there is change. My answer is no, nothing is going to happen. Sorry to say that.
