Quick question. If 50 is enough to trigger a massive, 25% market sell off and start turning off entire countries, what we do when we hit 100? Can we start burning old growth forests for fuel and harvest liberal body parts for the post apocalyptic rebirth? I’m just trying to understand where we go from here.

I bet that number wi be around 1% just like wait for it..... the flu.
The flu's mortality rate is nowhere near 1%. Even on it's worst years.

Just because I point out the stupid stat doesn’t mean I think a panic is warranted. There is a place between panic and this is no big deal. I can only guess as to market sentiment and my guess is that future infections and deaths and the relative panic is being priced in now. That being said the volatility and downward trend has me doing nothing (not casing out, not putting money in). Too much uncertainty.

This is not another Covid-19 == flu post, but I have a couple of questions.
1) Does any site track the number of deaths per year by each "strain" of flu?
2) How long does it take each season's strain to make its way across the country? The world?
3) Is Covid-19 spreading slower or faster than a typical strain?
