- allow the candidate to run, allowing their views to be heard, debated, and potentially defeated in a free election
- ban the candidate and the party, censor and suppress the coverage and debate of the ideas espoused

No matter how toxic their views. If they're eligible, they're allowed to run. Hell, there's an actual Neo Nazi running on the Illinois GOP ticket for state Congress. He won the party nomination because he ran unopposed. The Illinois GOP wasn't happy that he won.
