I have no idea. But, I think it is pathetic that a SCHOOL "needs" a Cop in it. I am for school choice and voucher's. I am open to DATA to support a position.

I am NOT for emotional reaction to reducing police in schools

There will be some stupid prizes at the end. I just hope the public doesn't forget how it happened and place blame where it should be. A gun will not jump up and kill students.

Good, there’s no place in schools for cops. Schools should be able to handle fights by not bringing in officers and sending kids off to get criminal records.

I went to Brother Martin, I watched guys get in fights all the time. I saw some dude get slammed on a lunch table and get wailed on. No cops were ever called and shite was still handled. No charges were ever filed and kids never had a record

I agree it is pathetic that a school needs a cop to keep kids from bringing guns to school, stabbing each other, and keeping order. But I also worked for East Baton Rouge Parish School Board and realize if they weren't there a lot of people would be hurt not necessarily from school shooters but from fights and other nonsense. When I was there for about 3 years there was a 10 year old and a 9 year old that brought guns to school knowing a cop was on campus. Imagine what would go on without one.

In all fairness, why do they need police in LA schools?

Sarcasm off.

Tell me how a teacher stops a fight by two students.

So you equate an expensive private religious school with inner city public schools?

Ok I get it. Part of your up scale education was to mentally wrap you in bubble wrap.

Private schools have control over their student population. Pull a knife and you don’t attend school there anymore.

Schools in Missouri can only suspend a student for 100 days for bringing a weapon to school. Only suspend for 10 days for fighting or assaulting staff.

They literally pushed for police in schools after school shootings. Now, after their latest emotion whims, they want those same police abolished.

It truly is clown world.

And the MSM and their garbage polls are trying to convince you that most Americans support this... that we are alone in our thinking and should get on board with everyone else. It’s a lie.

Yea because unlike you I see them all as worthy individuals. Some may need more help, more support but just because they do need more doesn’t make them less worthy. Give these inner city kids the same amount chances and benefit of the doubt as these white boys get.

They don't charge them in every fight, they mostly break them up. Plus juvenile records are sealed.

BHP my friend just retired yesterday 32 years as a popo. He was one of the first school liaison officers in our school system. It was part of the early stages of the community policing initiative. He told me it was a very effective tool in reducing gang violence within the schools, they have monthly meetings with parents as well. Overall he said it was one of the best efforts the PD had in his time as an officer. They attend all of the extracurricular activities and bond with many of the students who might never have a chance to succeed.

I'd be willing to bet they get many many chances.

This. They get a chance to make a good impression and be a role model for students who are taught by their parents how bad and evil all police are.
