We're a close knit community. We love everyone. We have a large black population, and they celebrate Kwanzaa. They don't rock with Christmas or bad cops.

I’m black and have never met anyone who seriously celebrates this retarded “holiday.”
I think we mentioned it a few times but no, we don't celebrate it either.

Some of those old subdivisions in East Point and DeKalb County go pretty hard with the Christmas decorations.

Damn I’m getting sick of the maternal attitude from white people
Its appeasement, and is one of the biggest reasons entitlement and victim mentality are the problems they are today.

Nope. Of course not. Did you have to ask? It's some fat greasy white woman fantasizing about saving the black man.

quote:The man who created the holiday, Maulana Karenga was convicted in 1971 of torturing two women who were members of US (United Slaves), a black nationalist cult he had founded.
It's a holiday a lot of Black people celebrate.
He and three members of his cult had tortured the women in an attempt to find some nonexistent “crystals” of poison. Karenga thought his enemies were out to get him.
He started the fake holiday to give blacks an alternative to the existing holiday and give blacks an opportunity to celebrate themselves instead of showing humility to God and humanity.
Al Sharpton explained the feast would perform the valuable service of “de-whitizing” Christmas.
So they deny themselves before God because of their hatred for white people and you think we should give credence to this invented holiday of hate.
Quote from the hate creator:
quote:LINK
“I created Kwanzaa,” laughed Ron Karenga like a teenager who’s just divulged a deeply held, precious secret. “People think it’s African. But it’s not. I wanted to give black people a holiday of their own. So I came up with Kwanzaa. I said it was African because you know black people in this country wouldn’t celebrate it if they knew it was American. Also, I put it around Christmas because I knew that’s when a lot of bloods (blacks) would be partying!”

People should know the truth about this hate holiday.

Why not celebrate the date of the signing of the proclamation, itself? Is it because it was done in January 1st? What about the passing of the 13th amendment which outlawed chattel slavery everywhere in America? That was done in December 6th.
These are arbitrary.
In reality, the people in South Texas were still slaves after those dates, hence Juneteenth.
I’m not sure why there would be pushback concerning this scenario of celebrating the moment when ALL of America was officially free.
