Kinda random, but I pulled some data on Mass Shootings

I know, Mass Shootings is sooooo last year...and this is a tl;dr post out of left field, but I think it's revealing.
But a while back, I remember reading an article about how there were more mass shootings than days in the year in 2019. That seemed just absurdly fake, but I saw that headline repeated over and over. So, I decided to look into them myself. I'm no data research expert, but I'll show you just one month of data and show you how crooked this "reporting" of shootings really is/was. These outlets making these claims of hundreds of mass shootings are using far-left, anti-gun organization numbers instead of somewhat more reasonable sources like the FBI and Congressional Research Study groups. I get a biased group stacking the numbers a bit, but the absolutely brazen absurdity of how they stretch these numbers is incredible and shows just how insidious these organizations are.
First, nearly any agency involved in this "tracking" uses its own metric or definition for what constitutes a mass shooting. Some are more stringent than others. And some of these agencies are clearly not valid resources.
For instance, Vox, a far-left media outlet, leads and supports an organization called Gun Violence Archive. Its definition is 4 or more people shot in one incident, excluding the perp, at one location and at roughly the same time. A home invasion gone bad or a family murder/suicide would be a mass shooting to Vox. Mother Jones, another far-left media outlet, considers 3 or more shot, BUT in a public place at the same time as a mass shooting. So, that family murder/suicide counted by Vox would not count here. But, a shooting at a Wal-Mart that wounds one guy in the leg, another gets wounded by a fragment ricochet and another takes one in the arm is a mass shooting while Vox would ignore it.
The FBI, which ABC uses as a reference, doesn't define mass shootings, but mass killings which can be done with something other than a gun. Their criteria is four or more injured & killed, minus the perp, in the same place at the same time. And the Congressional Research Service uses four or more shot & killed, minus the perp, in public at the same time, but excludes gang-related killings and terrorism.
So, what did just one month, January 2019, look like? Depends on which source is valid to you:
Mass Shooting Tracker - 28 Mass Shootings, 48 killed/86 wounded.
Gun Violence Archive/Vox - 26 Mass Shootings, 44 killed/82 wounded.
Mother Jones - 4 Mass Shootings, 15 killed/6 wounded.
FBI/ABC News - 3 Mass Shootings, 14 killed/1 wounded.
Washington Post - 1 Mass Shooting, 5 killed/0 wounded.
CRS - 1 Mass Shooting, 5 killed/0 wounded.
The lone incident which all these outlets agree upon is one that occurred on January 23, 2019, in Sebring, Florida. A man went nuts, ran into a bank and held everyone hostage. He wasn't trying to rob the place, he just picked that as his final stand. He killed 5 people.
The rest is all open to political biases. Which seems more likely to you? We had upwards of 28 mass shootings or we had as few as 1?
And to make it real spicy, I counted shooters by race. This took a lot of work in some cases because articles would rarely state the race of the suspect unless it was a white person. I ended up pulling a lot of arrest and court records:
By Race - (based on descriptions, police-announced suspects, eye-witnesses, arrests, indictments, court records, etc. Some had more than 1 shooter.)
Black - 21
White - 4
Hispanic - 1
Asian - 0
Other - 0
Unknown - 5 (you know why it's unknown)
I researched just through March 2019, then quit because it took a long time to research every single claim of mass shooting. It became exhausting. But here's the data for 1Q 2019 (Jan-Mar):
Mass Shooting Tracker - 72 Mass Shootings, 103 killed, 244 wounded.
Gun Violence Archive/Vox - 68 Mass Shootings, 90 killed, 237 wounded.
FBI/ABC News - 6 Mass Shootings, 29 killed, 7 wounded.
Mother Jones - 5 Mass Shootings, 21 killed, 12 wounded.
Washington Post/CRS - 2 Mass Shootings, 11 killed, 6 wounded.
By Classification - (some incidents may have more than one classification)
Domestic Incident/Domestic Violence - 18
Home Invasion/Robbery - 7
Drive-by/Gang-Related - 17
Physical Violence Escalated - 23
Drugs/Selling/Possession - 2
Fugitive/Fleeing Police - 2
Workplace Violence - 1
Police Corruption/Error - 1
Road Rage - 1
Unknown - 5
By Race - (based on descriptions, police-announced suspects, eye-witnesses, arrests, indictments, court records, etc.)
Black - 45
White - 9
Hispanic - 3
Asian - 1
Other - 0
Unknown - 27 ( you know why it's unknown)

The killings you’re pulling out are gang and drug related.

Yep, the statistics make it logically impossible to believe the dueling narratives that "it's always white guys who commit mass shootings" and "there have been hundreds of mass shootings this year". Nevertheless, our brave media persists and manages to overcome these logical limitations in the face of uncooperative data.

17% of the people are committing 50% of the mass shootings?
That’s unpossible.
That’s unpossible.

The odd part is...
If you believe the FBI, Congressional Research and the like, then there are very few mass shootings and they're almost all by white people.
But if you believe the far-left ideologues, then there are mass shootings literally every day and the vast, vast majority of them are by black people.
But somehow the general narrative is it's white people going on daily rampages gunning down minorities.

But Lebron told me they are being hunted down every time they leave the house. I guess he didn't specify what race was doing the hunting

Many are, but not all. I'd say about half go away if you don't count gang activity and half go away if you eliminate domestic disputes inside someone's home or shite like below.
For instance, an incident on January 28th in Houston, Texas: Cops do a no-knock raid on a home based on fake information. Further, one of the cops lied on the request for warrant. Cops bust into the house, immediately shot the dog. The husband, trying to protect his family, grabbed his revolver and starts shooting back. Cops murdered the husband and the un-armed wife. Four cops were wounded (technically 5, but he hurt his knee and not because of a bullet injury).
The cops found no drugs or anything illegal in the home. Two cops are currently indicted on counts of tampering with gov't documents and one is also indicted with first degree murder. The informant is also charged with making false 911 calls claiming her kid was doing drugs in that couple's residence and that the couple were drug dealers. This is a huge stink right now if you read about it.
This is a mass shooting according to the far-left outlets. Doesn't really fit the narrative of "crazy white man with AR-15 mowing down brown people", does it?
But, when no one does the research nor looks into these incidents and just blindly accepts reported numbers, absurdity like this is exposed time and again.

Yes, they're lying. And they're using loose definitions, as you point out, to do it.
