Well, Parish was called 'Chief' because he looked like a Cigar Store Indian. I knew him at Centenary. He was not very bright but he went to class every day and graduated on time with a PE degree.
He got some favoritism in swim class. All he had to do was float. He couldn't because of his body density. He sunk like a rock. But he passed.
Hell, he got favoritism in gymnastics. All he had to do was walk on a tape on the floor instead of getting on a balance beam. He was always scared of spraining an ankle.
