JBE wins excpet against Kennedy or Scalise. Scalise is the strongest potential challenger but wants Speaker of the House but my jump ship if Dems take over this year. Kennedy is 2nd and the most likely challenger. Kennedy is the safest run for the GOP because if he losses GOP wont lose a senate seat. If Kennedy wins, Landry will likely be appointed to the Senate. Landry is a shoe in for re-election at AG. The last think the GOP needs is to lose the AG position while running to many people for governor. This the safest GOP move IMO. JBE is stronger than people think so the GOP cant split the vote like last time. I have heard Vitter is grooming Graves but it will not be for this cycle. Vitter still controls the biggest GOP purse.
Dems wont get a majority in DC, so Scalise will be the next speaker.
Kennedy runs for Governor and wins.
Kennedy then appoints Graves to the Senate, with the hope Landry would run against Cassidy. Remember Landry has already won a statewide election against an incumbent and Cassidy is not very popular.
Mike Johnson would then try to come back and run for AG, although likely beaten by a south LA conservative.

Pretty much anyone out there would be better than JBE, but those thinking that Kennedy will be this knight on a white horse rolling in to clean up our mess are out of touch.
Kennedy is a career political D-sucker. He will literally eat the arse out of a dead dog to get elected to something. Was a lib democrat for many years because that’s what it took to get him elected in the past. Once he went statewide, he knew he had to suckle some right-wing D’s. So he polished a ton of evangelical knobs and talked about how we piss all the monies away. His political compass will move in any direction you want.
He knows nothing, and I mean nothing, about agriculture, which is still a huge driver of our economy. He thinks he knows a lot about O&G, but in reality, he’s just like Landry. His summation of the O&G market is “drilling = jerbs”.
Nevertheless, if JBE is re-elected, he will tax the working class into oblivion. His Utopia is to have Louisiana as a handout heaven, constantly apologizing for simply existing as a southern state, cesspool.

I would take Kennedy's fiscal credentials any day of the damn week.
