She is smart. There are certain Trump policies that would be idiotic to fight. In this case she wants to send back illegals who commit local crimes.
Another policy is government efficiency. If the Dems want to die on a hill of “protect our $200 million funding for studying monkey sperm” then that is their prerogative. The savvy (politically expedient) Dems will pick their battles. Hochul will act up in arms when some crying illegal gets arrested and taken from her kids…

No disrespect but I don't see it. Hochul is a low profile middle manager, and has some significant baggage to boot. I don't think many New York politicians could win a national election these days. Also she has no public persona in terms of being on talk shows or such. Newsom, Pete, Warren, Hilllary, Moochelle, Sanders, etc... all have very high profiles compared to Hochul.

It's not just a "few thousand". NYS is getting hit from the busses, flights, and boats. From The southern and Northern, and eastern borders. From pretty much all the trash getting dumped here. Including huge numbers of the known terrorist lists and China.
If there was ever a time that we needed to invade and reclaim New York, this is one of the top 3 reasons.

Ok, now this is an interesting thought.
However, I think the only reason she'd try, is to take votes from AOC. She knows she hasn't worked her way up far enough in the DNC Yet, to challenge Newsome. She doesn't have the popularity for it either.
