You’re missing the point (probably on purpose)
Expand it to every pro sports league winning a title every year. That’s at least 4 per year depending on your definition of pro leagues. We can probably add other Olympics and World Cups too. And don’t forget college for good measure.
Show me the list of high powered gov appointees chugging beers in the champions locker rooms afterwards.

Just accept it was a unique moment and moce on. Kash is a hockey fanatic who got to see his country do what it hasn't done in his lifetime, and he was in a position to bathe himself in it.

My theory:
Kash is a hockey fan.
Trump wanted to be able to talk to the team if they won gold.
Trump allows Kash to be the means to make the phone call and allows him to attend final.
Team USA wins gold.
Kash goes to the locker room to facilitate the Trump call.
The hockey bros just want to celebrate win with any and everyone in locker room and hype Kash up.
Kash chugs beer and gets caught up in the moment.
Kash makes Trump call as he was tasked to do.
Kash leaves locker room.

Nah I think it’s mostly dumb and the flak he’s taking for it is mostly reasonable.
