The person who’s always been there is still listed as the GM; she very much fits the last part but Tom and Al have obviously been able to coexist with her for years.

Initials MG? I know her husband pretty good. He’s a super nice guy. Doesn’t seem like someone that would be married to a miserable lib.

Why resign and not force them to fire them?

If you're fired it becomes he-said/she-said, except many employers will hide behind HR confidentiality rules and just say they can't discuss it.

If you quit, you're outright stating why you've left in a manner which can't be equivocated away by the other side.

There are pros and cons to each path in the mandate scenario.

Yep and make quite a statement while live on TV about the tyranny.

I'm in my 40's now, but I remember him coming to our school as a kid to visit the classrooms and show us weather presentations. He was was good friend with one of our teachers and Tom would get invited to come by at least once a year for several years. He was always a class act and very friendly.

Gray Media is forcing a vaccine mandate on all senior staff members who hold management positions. Additionally, they don't pay their staff well at all. Another former on air personality used to do accounting work on side for my father. They stated that they were not paid much and that is why they were doing the side gig.

So low pay and then forcing a vaccine down their throat is showing those senior employees that it ain't worth staying there.

Was just coming to post that exact reaction for Coco. He’s been on the police jury since being on tv.

Last time I saw him he was delivering pizza for Papa Johns or sandwiches for Jimmy Johns..I cant remember which. Not bashing, just was kinda shocked. He was the man around town when I moved here in 94

I hadn’t heard that name in 20 years. When I read the OP it was like I had a brain zap back to my childhood. Can’t believe he is still there… Or wise.

Think he’s referring to Brook. Don’t think Michelle is a huge lib

Yes. I don’t know anything about her politics, just that her competency has long been questioned.

But like I said I don’t think she’s the issue here because obviously Tom has been able to work with her.

Also have a really hard time believing Brooke is the issue.

Yes, they issued a mandate for October 1.

Tom was got rather emotional during his announcement on air.

Gray TV Requiring Employees...

quote:

According to the memo, effective Sept. 15, Gray will require “as a condition of employment, that every employee who occupies a ‘manager’ position in our company be ‘fully vaccinated’ against the Coronavirus.”

All full-time and part-time employees, outside contractors, tenants and guests who enter Gray workspaces are required to be "fully vaccinated" as of Oct. 1.

I guess only "managers" can "infect" someone else with the China virus.

company loses 40% of their workforce? They're going to have some very rough times or they are going to fold and bring the employees back.

My company requires the employees to provide vaccination status.

They found out that my business unit, over 800 employees, has less than a 20% vaccination rate (people who replied not vaccinated or I refuse to share this info).

They were absolutely floored. If you think that those numbers didn’t make them think twice, you’re wrong.
