It is simply not fathomable that a Constitution that grants Congress the power to remove a President for reasons including criminal behavior would deny Congress the power to investigate him for unlawful conduct—past or present

Its almost like one branch of government is meant to be co-equal with 2 others and they all police each other.

Sure, it does that, but it doesnt grant power to remove a President because he hurts your feelings and intimidates you.

Congress did not. Mueller, an appointee of the executive branch did. Not Congress.

Are you dense?

Oh I thought it was that Mueller's report was just such a "roadmap" for impeachment.

What exactly do you think a House Committee will find that a special prosecutor with unlimited budget, scope, and time failed to find?

I hope Trump gives just as much Credence to Congressional investigations and subpoenas, as did the executive branch under Obama

Lotta melt going on up in here.

Add value to the board. Add actual debate material, not name-calling.

Like this:

The chief judge in the circuit where this will play out.....Merrick Garland.

• Donald Trump’s lawyers filed an appeal to the circuit court following this ruling. Think of the circuit court as the “next court up the ladder”.

• Merrick Garland was widely viewed as the person to fill the open Supreme Court seat during President Obama’s last year in office. That seat was basically held hostage by Mitch McConnell who argued that no such seat should be filled so close to the end of a President’s term.

• I don’t expect MG to rule unfairly based on the past... I just need a life preserver to save me from drowning in the irony!

The Biden rule necessitated that the Senate delay Garland's appointment....obama appointee fell victim to a Democrat instituted rule.... sucks for them
