Just a Note on Fascism

Fascist is surely one of the most abused terms in our language.
There have only been two fascist powers. Those were Italy under Mussolini and Germany under Hitler.
A fascist government depends on the cult of personality - the strong man who knows best. It relies heavily on a secret police and controlling the people. It strives to provide the people with creature comforts. Back in Hitler's time it was volswagens and radios and cheap everything -seized from the Jews.
Nowadays in the postfascist United States it is iphones and 4K TV.
The fasces was a Roman symbol reminding people that many are stronger than one, or a group not working together.
But appears in many places.

It's all open sourced. You are welcome to develop your own interpretation.

And?
Fascists are leftists, just like communists and socialists.

There's a good boy. Thanks.
Fascism /'fæ??z?m/ is a form of radical authoritarian nationalism,[1][2] characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and control of industry and commerce,[3] that came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe. The first fascist movements emerged in Italy during World War I, before it spread to other European countries. Opposed to liberalism, Marxism, and anarchism, fascism is usually placed on the far-right within the traditional left–right spectrum.[4][5]

Can a person really be all 4? Are those terms not mutually exclusive?

Here we go again. You are the one who cannot think straight. I do not care what definition you pulled from wherever the hell it comes from.
Fascism is left wing and there is no doubt about it.
If the left end is authoritarianism/communism, et al, than how is fascism to the right of Conservatism/Libertarianism who preach smaller to very MINIMAL government intrusion into peoples lives?
It cannot make sense that from the left to right are Commmies, then Socialism, then maybe modern Liberals/Democrats then Independents, then Republicans than Libertarianism and then Fascism? WTF?!
That simply cannot be if one is a reasonable person.
Fascism wants what Socialism wants and therefore they are brethren just like the National Socialist/Fascist.
It is not rocket science to reason these things through.
I am on the right and I agree with a very limited Constitutional role of our Government. That is the 180 degree opposite of anything Communist, Socialist or Fascist.

Sure, there isnt really a true spectrum. There is only bigger, more centralized powerful government in one direction, and smaller, more fractured, less powerful government in another.
The only "fascists" governments that history has known were powerful and centralized with dictators ruling them. They were leftists

What?
never mind the fact the term left/leftist was originally used to define the ppl against the monarchy rule of government which was the ultimate governing body of centralized power and control.
but whatevs
