I'd bet anything this is a lie. That's what leftists do. But if it isn't, what does it tell you? Yep, McCarthy was dead on over the target. The man died in 1957, and a marxist/socialist on a message board in 2022 wants to brag about pissing on his grave. Think about it.

have you watched the senate hearings from the 50's? the man was granstanding on a national stage. the called for all communist to be put on govt supervision program. He ruined peoples career and lifes with no evidence. The senate and the President stopped supporting him and then condomed him. He was a raging alcoholic, ignored the bill of rights. I really shouldnt have to explain McCarthy, the fact that some people view him as correct is just insane.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Joseph McCarthy did nothing to root out communism. What he did was make it harder to investigate and for Americans to take investigation’s serious.
He claimed over 200 members of the State Department were communist. He claimed the Army, CIA, State Department, Harry Truman, Dean Acheson, the atomic industry(probably true), and countless others of being communist. During his 2 year Senate hearings/investigations into communist no one was charged. That ended in him being mocked and started his decline. Senators stopped coming to his committee meetings or listening to his floor speeches.
His popularity and any pull he had in Washington DC was gone after a televised hearing where he charged some of the Army staff of being communist.
He mounted investigations into homosexuality and government employees suspected of being gay. There were many government employees fired and many that were straight suspected of being gay that were fired.
His investigations into homosexuality was driven by his own homosexuality. He was seen in gay bars and with gay men in the 40’s and early 50’s. In 1953 his sexuality started to go public and at the age of 44 he married one of his office staff.(he died 4 years later)
His time in the Senate is a embarrassment to our country. Americans were fooled by a alcoholic and morphine addicted narcissist.
