The Segment of TD posters that do hate Jeff Landry have to acknowledge that this is going to be a big selling point for Jeff Landry's gubernatorial campaign and it will definitely play well with the base; doesn't matter how low info those rubes are, they have more voting power than you do.
And if your candidate wants to dispute that point, your candidate is going to have to show that he's on record opposing JBE as much as the base thinks Landry did if Landry is able to effectively get the base to buy in on this point.
Saying fighting the Governor is not the AG's job isn't going to fly at all. The base doesn't care about your decorum and legalese.

If Louisiana Republicans want to lose another election, running someone as patently vapid and fake as Jeff Landry is step 1. He is nothing but an opportunistic panderer.

Louisiana GOP candidates will have every opportunity to make this case to voters that Landry is nothing more than hot air.
However, it’s their responsibility to make sure it’s not scorched Earth base depressing like Dardenne and Angelle against Vitter and they have to be good soldiers and team players if Landry advances to the runoff against a democrat and make sure Landry wins.
My biggest goal is making sure our next Governor is not a democrat AND not a RINO. I don’t care who fits that box whether it be Landry, Schroder, Graves, Hewitt or Mike Johnson. Any of them works for me.

I agree. No more Democrats! No matter how “nice and moderate” they seem! Never trust a Democrat! Never! “Republicans for JBE” can go straight to hell!

Louisiana voters are the worst part of the equation. This state’s majority would rather someone who panders constantly on nonsense culture war issues and federal politics to someone with an actual idea on how to run the state effectively.
