I asked the question a few months ago about a Dem running with a Republican.
My thought was Trump / Manchin Just to get the votes. JM will pull some D and independent votes. Then, Manchin would be worthless b/c most VPs dont influence anything specific. Republican picks up his senate seat.
I was happy to hear Trumps comments on abortion on CNN. Abortion and guns are 2 issues that will swing the vote. Just tell them what they want to hear, keep those 2 subjects as balanced/neutral as possible.

Biden ahead in the polls.
Trump did something not as conservative as his base wants.
I voted for Trump even though he is an idiot.
Trump couldn't win in 2020.

Manchin could lose a lot of the far left vote if they don’t like him.
