Wow what a really good question.....pfft. you do realize that you can vote for a Democrat and still be a capitalist right? You do realize that all this socialism is bad stuff doesn't really apply, right?

A man worth 600 mill is the poster boy for a do nothing lifestyle.

It’s pretty obvious you have no idea about his fans.

Do you even think?

Yes, Buffet is the poster boy for the beach bum lifestyle. A lifestyle which I’d like to have. but his personal wealth doesn’t mean he doesn’t exemplify the idea of laying on the beach all drinking tequila.

Educate Yourself He is a Dem. Maybe even on the left edge of the Dem party. Politifact (as neutral an arbiter as you will find) says that he is not remotely a socialist.

A one hit wonder and total phony but a smart businessman who takes advantage of moronic tourists and beach baws who buy into his bullshite. Always hated the prick.

LOL! A vote for a democrat is a vote for socialism. One and the same. Democrats are the masters at sticking in in your arse while whispering sweet nothings. They know they can't win on content or reality so they pitch nebulous issues like change and have the unmitigated gall to paint family types and peace and prosperity loving Republicans as "Divisive" while threatening to burn down America if they don't get their way. And substitute a made up "cool" for justification of intolerant policy.

It is a dirty shame we can't have 2 separate countries, one for the radicals to live in and one for family style, freedom loving conservatives to live in. Just make your choice and go. Problem would be however that the conservative country would prosper and become much more powerful and rich and peaceful than the radical and all the radicals would want to live there and frick it up.

I remember a fundraising concert after the BP oil spill where he proclaimed that the oil spill was all Bush's fault. He carried on about it for about five or ten minutes. Need I remind anyone that this was during Obama's presidency? In all fairness, I don't think it was anybody's fault but BP's. Anyway, that's when I made up my mind that Jimmy would never see another dime of my money. I see that I made the right decision.

David Allan Coe - "Jimmy Buffett" - NSFW

Now leaving aside politics for a moment:

Can someone give me a TL:DR on how Jimmy Buffet became a major industry?

Last thing I remember is he was just another innocuous one-hit '70s singer-songwriter.... Then I turned around and he was a cross-promoting machine worth nine figures.

There is nothing about him that is beach bum.

You clealry know very little about him and his fans. Beach buns don’t have fhe cash to take Norwegian Cruise line vacays.
