La only state to loose jobs in the last 12 months.

LINK

quote:

A new report out this month should end the debate over whether Louisiana’s economy has fallen behind the rest of the nation's under the leadership of Gov. John Bel Edwards, a Democrat. Even the most talented of politicos would have a difficult time spinning the latest jobs data from the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics in Edwards' favor. But the governor’s trying anyway.

Shthole is Shthole

Kind of funny how “back-arse” Alabama and “po-dunk” Mississippi have attracted major car manufacturing but LA can’t get a whiff of crap.

Pathetic.

God I hate this state.

Family dies and I’m out.

JBE is an Obama and Hillary voter that loves Edwin Edwards and Huey Long.

No shite he’s been terrible for economic development and not just keeping but bringing jobs to Louisiana.

All JBE cares about is how big the size of state Government can get, how much money it can get through taxes and putting as many people on the dole as possible. That’s Louisiana to him.

Louisiana is still fricked long term even if you elect a Abraham or Rispone.

They alone can’t bring all the change.

Louisiana has got to attract new industries. If Nola isn’t going to thrive or expand, which nothing leads me remotely to believe it will, then focus on BR or Lafayette.

No reason either of those cities can’t be a Huntsville AL, Greenville SC, chatnooga

We're #1! Reminds of the 80s, everybody prospered while Louisiana declined. I expect more people to leave the state for greener pastures.

Correct. My comments were my broader feelings of the state regardless of who occupies the gov mansion

Rispone supports a constitutional convention and getting rid of the crappy product Edwin Edwards stuck us with in the 70s.

Abraham does not support that.

I know who I’m voting for.

I don’t know about Lafayette, but I’m pretty confident BR is lost. Leadership sucks, everyone hates the school system, and you have a revolt in south BR. The city shows no sign of changing direction.

Have you ever been to Huntsville? It is so much unlike anything that South Louisiana is that trying to say BR could be like it is like saying an apple can be just like an orange.

I guess I’m more of an optimist. I think a conservative pro-business governor with a Republican legislature can turn things around pretty quickly.

He can make it better, but he can’t fix it without rebuilding it. My problem is if he doesn’t know that than he isn’t the right guy for the job.

JBE should consider dropping out and letting another Democrat run.

This is pretty much how I feel. Just too much corruption, too widespread. I'm voting Rispone BTW.
