#1 at least in the Coaches Poll. Why the preferential/elitist treatment for public servants?

"Elected officials and selected appointees covered in the policy must still pay face value for tickets plus the required contribution based on the location of the seat, but they get access to some of the best views when the Tigers hit the field by virtue of their elected office. The priority seating stays with the office, so officials do not keep it when they are no longer in that role"

See which state, university officials get priority LSU football season tickets and how many

He had a natural ability to deceive the defense and keep his eyes on every receiver.

Oh if you only knew what these Aholes get just for being elected over the average fan.

Also, if you actually think they are paying for it, well....LOL

I hate how the university gives tickets to these scumbags. I was so pissed whenever LSU and ULL played in that Super a few years ago, and they gave all the remaining seats to the politicians. It’s hard enough to get tickets already and these guys are corrupt af.

Still the governor. You kinda remind me of a jilted 2016 Hillary voter. Accept what happened and move on.

You boys just can't stand the idea that LSU is actually a state government endeavor.

It's funny how concerned you people were over cancelling football games, but no one seemed to care that actual CLASSES would be cancelled. Corruption will rule this state as long as the moronic electorate believes that football is more important than education.

LSU has hundreds of classes, some of which are unnecessary BS electives that add no value to a student's career.

There is 1 football program and is the reason LSU is able to offer so many classes.

So your argument is moot, as usual.

"Say farewell to college football" or something to that nature was the quote. Not farewell to biology or calculus. It was a calculated threat to get what he wanted.

Only because he knew that saying, "If we don't provide adequate funding in the budget for LSU, classes will be cancelled" wouldn't get anyone's attention. Idiots in this state think that a college education is something to be suspicious of. They hate the idea that LSU football is related in any way to education. They love the team, and hate the school.

What if a student wants to take one of those classes simply for their own edification? Not everything you learn in a university education relates directly to the "value" of your "career". A university is not a trade school.

That's fine but don't expect my taxes to subsidize it... which was JBE's exact argument.

Maybe you don't understand how state education works. Your taxes have, are, and will continue to subsidize it. If you don't like it, move to another state.

...Oh, right, that happens in every single state in the Union. You might consider moving to another country if you don't like the education system that's been around for 150 years.

So let's give LSU unlimited budget to triple their class offerings.

You seem to be trying to deflect from the earlier point that canceling BS electives is much preferable than canceling the cash cow football program.

wtf

Do you seriously not understand how that was a response to this...?

Your taxes are going to subsidize state education whether you like it or not. That's not a deflection, it's a direct response to the quoted statement.

give LSU unlimited budget

Why do you want to do that?

canceling BS electives

You don't seem to understand that it would've been the whole school that would've had to be shut down until they had sufficient funds to reopen.

But it's not up to you to determine what classes are worthwhile, it's largely up to the student demand for those classes.

Care to back that up with non-anecdotal evidence?

Student demand relative to budget. You seem to forget that the state government operates within their allotted budget.

The rest of your post is drivel.
