Will depend on the language used in the termination papers. If they tried to fire him for cause and that cause turns out to be untrue than that is definitely a wrongful term lawsuit.

Depends on contract language as well, who knows what will happen.

I do know that CBS would have ran this by their legal dept prior to pulling the trigger on a high profile deal like this.

He should just keep responding "That wasn't the whistle blower" for everyone that they fire. Maybe he can force CBS to clean house.

Let’s remember that ABC was trying to retaliate and fire a WHISTLEBLOWER.

Never, ever underestimate the stupidity of a major corporation, especially in the news media business.

They may have run it by legal and gotten a negative opinion, and gone ahead and done it anyway. Considering the swiftness in which this played out, I seriously doubt they even consulted them before taking action.

Would the studios fire this person for accepting stolen material that would expose let’s just say Trump, that broke a big news story for them?

Is stealing material only a fireable offense when it is damaging to their reputation?

The chic that was fired by CBS told Meagan Kelly that she was not the sauce and the sauce is still inside ABC!
