also a lame cop out. most everyone thought joe sucked his dick

It was also telling that Joe immediately labeled anyone who criticized him as "right wing." That is full on brainwashing-machine-speak right there.

it probably is. I'm okay with it though. I would rather have them try again than just completely ignore all of the blowback and do nothing.

Listened to it earlier today. Joe didn't really press him much but Jack did admit it has become essentially an echo chamber.

Looking forward to the Sam Harris appearance that Dorsey referenced during this one. Harris will be happy to go after hypocrisy on the left.

I am eager to hear that too. Should be an interesting comparison.

Good news for everyone that was annoyed that we didn’t cover censorship and deplatforming enough on the podcast with Jack Dorsey because he’s offered to come back on again. I’m going to take the criticism to heart and research all the high profile cases on the right and on the left and any instances that might be viewed as double standards. Anything in particular you think is important please leave a mention in the comments and I’ll have someone make a list. One thing I really liked that Jack said was that he felt that the ability to communicate online was a right that we all should have. Maybe there can be a road to redemption for people that have been banned? I’ll keep you folks posted as to when we work out the details and the date.

A reasonable response...it will be interesting to see how it goes in rnd 2, because in my view Dorsey was mostly evasive...typical CEO of a public company pablum. I think after the Musk debacle (for him) it's going to be tough to get these type of folks to go on any open ended convo show or if they do say anything meaningful. The cost way outweigh any benefit.

Rogan got called out (big time) and is trying to save face.

He blamed the youtube comments getting deleted on youtube algorithms.

I dont buy it but it will be interesting to see part 2.

Agree with you but the descriptions of this sound pretty damning.

I don't see rogan lying about this...he doesn't seem like a guy that would do it in the first place or back down if he did.

You should listen to it...he could've pressed more, but he wasn't getting non-answers. Rogan was never going to express the same level of anger towards Dorsey as people on this board would like him to - he doesn't feel the same. Additionally, if he would have gone after him as these posters would like him to the conversation would have been brief.

To look at it positively, he got Dorsey to talk for about 2 hours about twitter and the issues. Can you think of any other time a CEO of a publicly traded company has done that? As I said in a prior post, the downside for those guys outweighs any upside.

I’ve listened to JRE for many years so I have a good handle on him.

He definitely laid down for Dorsey.

The other question besides censorship of the right that he should have asked was the process for the blue check.

Dorsey said on the podcast that the blue check was intended to give credibility to people that are experts in a particular field.

That’s utter bullshite.

The blue checks, outside of legitimate celebrities and people of note, are given disproportionately to absolute nobodies that only spew leftist hatred.

I’ll give a great example:

Dr. Eugene Gu.

This is a 32 year old MD that has been out of residency for about 15 minutes and every time Trump Tweets, this guy has the first 3 or 4 comments spitting hatred at Trump.

He has that blue check.

They throw out blue checks to vitriolic leftists that have no discernible notoriety outside of Twitter like Mardi Gras beads.

I'll think about it and get back to you. Still haven't wrapped up the Killer Mike one from a few weeks ago which kinda sucks.

I get everything you are saying but being borderline conciliatory to Dorsey's bullshite does seem to run counter to a lot of his philosophy, or at least the persona he tries to convey.
