It's times like this that I hate politics the most.

With the emotional arguments, political hacks (especially in the media) trying to gain a political advantage on the backs of dead victims and conspiracy theories flying around it just makes me want to back away.

For example there was no news on TV in the family room last night. I knew/know it was going to a constant flow of bull shite so I changed the channel. We watched HGTV for the first time in a long time. lol

My favorite time is election time followed by the legislative process which in itself can be very frustrating. At least we are seeing government/politics in action albeit it's probably like watching paint dry for some people besides political junkies like me.

I'd say watch Anderson Cooper at this time because he doesn't preach immediate legislation, very much broadcasts the stories of the victims, and refuses to honor in any way the murderer. I have my problems with him, but I do think he handles tragedies the best of the MSM.

You missed a hell of a football game last night. That last play had reverberations across the country. Both teams are for real. Good wholesome American entertainment from the heartland of the country.

Good for you. So what is the latest on lawn chairs? Anything new on patio covers?

We were watching the real estate show. My wife was watching and I was nominally paying attention while I was coaching my son with a new (to him) exercise program in an adjacent room in preparation for the up coming basketball season.

Agree. Since Katrina I cannot stand the way the media and politicians use tragedies to hype ratings and support for their side.

Obligatory "republicans do it too" esp when there are Muslim related attacks.

How is this different than any other day of fake news and corrupt politics?
