This is it. It's why we do what we do. There is some reason to hope though. The creation by Saudi Arabia and several other countries in the region, the U.S. included of a center to fight extremism is a step in the right direction. It's not going to happen overnight but the Saudi's and other's are finally getting serious about cleaning the mess up.
Oh really? Do you see any sign that KSA is trying to reform the most extreme form of Sharia Law? They stil behead and give a 1000 lashes for violating their version of a free press. The Royal Family is scared of the Iranians. They need our weapons and if they get in a war with Iran, they will need American bodies because the Iranians would mop the floor against them.

The solution is simple. We need to stop support of ALL countries in the Middle East. Instead of giving money to any of them, we use it prevent their spread of violence and ignorance to our shores.
Also use that money to build nuclear plants to decrease our reliance on oil. If we rediscovered Tesla's free energy tower, then we wouldn't have to worry about stability in the ME at all. We could let them implode. But the elites make too much money while sending our sons & daughters to die for their profiteering wars.

Yes, they disbanded the Mutawa'ah which was a huge step in the right direction, not enough but things change slowly.

Yes, but not as scared of them as they are the Salafist.
The Salafist are who put the Al Sauds in power, at the urging of the US I might add, and the Royals are scared to death of them now.
The Royal family has a lot to answer for but direct support of terrorist is not one of them, the support is more akin to US support of the IRA when they were the worlds largest terror organization, a blind eye turned to individuals supporting it.
