My aunt and uncle are life long dems. Only replublican they ever voted for was Ronald Reagan. I will ask why next time we talk because that honestly makes no sense. Anyway, for them to say that these organized protesting marches etc have gone too far is amazing for my conservative side of the family.

So now they say it's "embarrassing" and they hope Trump overcomes this. These are two I lost my mind debating them for voting Hillary.

I wonder how much damage these ridiculous people out there are having on future swing voters. There is nobody out there more liberal than my aunt and uncle outside of the fact my aunt does not like the past border issues, yet she voted Hillary, amazing.

I honestly believe the best thing going is the media coverage of idiots rioting and acting like fools. If you look at the map on election night, I think it told a story people have had enough of the liberal bs. Yeah, they have NY and California, big deal. Those two states are big liberal states.

But they misread the rest of the nation. They thought everyone thinks like they do. I hope the marches continue, it's waking up even more people how dumb the left has become and their zero tolerance of a different opinion.

Notice how the left screams about tolerance, that is, unless you disagree. It's been impossible for any conservative to speak on a college campus without a pie in the face, destruction of their automobile or protests. But any liberal is accepted with open arms.

I thought the liberals embraced "tolerance?" Bunch of hypocrits. Keep those protests up , you gonna lose what you had.

They're like four year old children.

They employ the same "logic" as children in that they believe that if they make enough noise, people will give them what they want just to shut them up.

In the real world, it doesn't work like that.

This is really similar to this thread.

I will say the same thing i said in the other thread:

Protesting the president just because he got elected is cry baby bullshite.

Protesting the president for questionable EOs is quite american and should be done to let the pres know people are listening.

It's not too surprising if your relatives are rational people. Protesting based on you didn't get your way is asinine and un american. Protesting on the grounds something violates the constitution is what americans should do.

Eta: these protests aren't fair to indict all left leaning people as cry babies. Let's not pretend there wasn't a section of the right that protested Obama after he was elected. Additionally using rhetoric and hate speech to denounce him. I won't link all of it unless requested by someone who has memory loss.

Trump stuck his foot in his mouth about "what happened in Sweden last night" but truth be known, Crime in Sweden is way up. How do I know?

Sweden adopted the same policy Atlanta, Ga did in Bill Clinton's first 4 years. What is considered a crime by levels and normally smaller crimes no longer fall under "Crime Statistics."

Also, even serious crimes reported would no longer be a "statistic" unless they met certain criteria. It's a way of dumbing down true crime reports / stats. This is what politicians can do when under the gun, pardon the pun.

I play a game online with my iphone called War of Nations. It's a big miitary type game with people from UK, USA, Germany etc etc. It has an open chat board in every world. You get to know people from numerous countries and I can tell you that / including those who travel abroad to Sweden / that crime has become a big issue with the people who live or have business dealings there.

What you will see soon in Sweden is a push back against that open border policy. We see a lot of Brits recently are speaking up for their gov't to halt taking in all those people.

1) what does this have to do with my comments?
2) crime is up compared to what? I could say its up or down depending on what year i compare it to. Also any increase in crime doesn't directly correlate to immigration policy.

You mad because you didn't get a boost to your thread? Furthermore, when you get educated about crime statistics with incoming border crossers, get back to me.

Lol, yes there were riots in the streets after Obama's election a couple of signs are totally comparable to your team's behavior over the last 4 months.

Please link. I am old. I don't remember rioting against Obama, violence, killing police and pointless obstruction being what now appears to be a daily or weekly basis or of the scale being presented our nation by this current resistance "movement".

ETA: I want credible sources. And yes I remember the Tea Party and birthed demonstrations. I remember individual Republicans in Congress denounce Obama or even pledge to slow down or block his agenda - much as individual Dems in Congress denounced Bush and fought him tooth and nail. What I don't remember is the coordinated effort we now see between Dems in Congress, celebrities, Left wing groups, campuses, media elites and MSM, individuals like Zuckerberg, Soros, and other Leftist capitalists to not only oppose but obstruct and bring down this Administration.

There is a line of decency, be it ever so dotted. The Left has crossed over.

#notmyteam. I dont condone anyone protesting the election process. I do think that questioning certain EOs is acceptable and good for keeping govt in check.

I didn't say that. I think the power congress gave bush and then obama was way too much, as it relates to EOs.

Eta: i know this might seem like a new idea but i condemn any person who protests a president purely based on his appearance/not conforming ideas regardless of his politicial affiliation.

I do supprt people protesting a president's policy based on the fact it could be discriminatory or unconstitutional.

And i don't support destruction of property or police violence in any instance

They are forcing moderates to the right.

Look at the breakdown numbers for Trump's supporters by class and race. It's something no news cycle will touch but he had one of the best and most diverse voting bases in a long time.
