If you could see further down the road than the simplest association (and hadn't been indoctrinated by Huckster Carlson to parrot his lines) you might feel differently.

For example, one of the biggest Palestine apologists on this board recently "challenged" me to name a reason that we should support Israel as an ally.

I put "challenge" quotes because that's a very simple answer, and I could have picked from about half a dozen easy ones. I chose the fact that, given that the last attack on Americans on our soil was instigated by a radical Muslim terrorist group from the Middle East, and given the fact that a handful of countries over there actively fund terrorists who would love to do it again, and given the fact that an alliance with Israel no doubt provides us with the benefit of military intelligence about the countries funding terrorism against us, and finally given the fact that our aid to Israel comprises .008% of the federal budget (that's a real number...I looked it up), and FINALLY, given the fact that they are the only country in the region with whom we can even have that type of relationship, supporting them is obviously a bargain.

Now, it was obvious from his reaction that this poster had never even considered something as obvious and basic as an alliance with Israel providing valuable military intelligence about Iran or Syria or Iraq.

Let me make it even more clear—the US does not give out ANY aid that we do not feel like has an ROI. We're getting something back, or we wouldn't do it in the first place.

It's amazing to me that anybody thinks we would, and it's even more amazing to me that so many people cannot connect simple dots like military intelligence. Huckster has really caused many people to insert their heads firmly up their asses on foreign policy.

They are blinded, and I mean quite literally spiritually blinded to their own eminent destruction. They pay no attention to what those people did to Persia (Iran), a once vibrant country turned into a literal cesspool of evil in no time flat. They remain willfully ignorant of how the majority Christian Lebanon tried to live alongside Islam only to be subjugated by the very people they were magnanimous toward. They refuse to look at the genocide of Christians in Armenia, or the coming second wave as Azerbaijan invades it’s borders, or what Egypt has done to the Coptic Christian population, or the entire history of Islam for that matter. They just want to believe what they want to believe about these people, because the truth flies in the face of the self deceptive bubble they prefer to live in.
