For some one claiming to be a constitutionalist, you seem to leave out the part where "the people" in the 2A are the same in the 1st, 4th and 10th. By saying the 2A only protects from Federal government, you're implying those Amendments don't apply to the states and therefore the freedom of religion, press, peaceful protest, free speech, right to arms and the right to be free from unlawful search and seizures can be infringed on by the states.

i support states regulating firearms as they see fit. which is consistent with a historical interpretation of the constitution.. "...shall not be infringed (by the federal government") pretty simple

regulation by a state != infringing on your 2nd amendment right. it's perfectly constitutional for them to tell you where, how, and for what purposes you can bear those arms.
the 2nd amendment wasn't even incorporated against the states until 2010

An ignorant and wholly incorrect interpretation but typical of those with a low-IQ coupled with poor education.

Originally, (1833 Barron v. Baltimore) the USSC unanimously decided that states were not bound by the bill of rights. It wasn't until right and left wing activist judges began to meddle that federalism died.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances"
