Is this Pandemic A Federal or State Emergency?

I get it. It’s both, and then some (worldwide emergency)
I wanted to get the thoughts of the board on this. I say this to say during a natural disaster (tornado, for example) because of the brief moment of time involved, a cleanup generally does not involve the Feds.
A Hurricane, on the other hand, encompasses several states and the government usually gets involved.
This pandemic has touched every state, along with the rest of the world. Who should be taking the lead in this? Should Washington DC, just announce blanket rules for all states and acquire PPE proportionately, or should each governor decide what they want to do as they have been doing?
Thoughts?

Fedgov can only do as much as the states will allow.
There are not enough federal troops and no national police force to make the whole of the nation to behave how a central authority wants it to.
If the state and local organizations won't go with the program, it won't work.

Neither as the numbers don't support it being classified as such...the world has seen far worse without enacting draconian methods

Your not looking for thoughts. Your intent is to bitch that the federal government hasn't taken over and placed complete control over this country.
Sorry that we are not communists.... is that what you want to hear?
Your pissed that Hitlery isnt the pres as she would have handed control over to china by now.

Hell no because a Dem Prez would wreak havoc and the MSM would goad the Prez onwards!

Are the counting the non-"pandemic" deaths as part of the emergency? I mean, with for example, with CT's governor saying how a baby died of it when it was suffocation? Just how many others have been counted that aren't real?

1. Its not a pandemic, its a hoax response.
2. I don't know what you mean by take the lead, the States have given up some rights to join the union. The ones not given up have been reserved to the States.
3. If you are talking FEMA, that is federal program.
4. Not sure what you mean by blanket rules, there is no such thing, generally its up to the hospitals and anyone else to determine how much they buy.
My thought is you should be reading more and getting off this forum.

It ALWAYS does. So, with all due respect, you don't know what you're talking about. The money/funding/coordination of resources from outside the state ALWAYS comes from FEMA.

True, but it is almost always the states who run things on the ground. Katrina (and to a lesser extent Andrew) was a horse of a different color, but again, FEMA usually coordinates things and writes checks. They will usually push water, ice and meals to the various States' national guards to distribute.

You should watch the briefings - Pence is very clear: locally executed, state managed, federally supported.
The feds have only reluctantly gone around governors who have been hoarding federally provided resources. *cough* Fredo's brother *cough*
