this. i've talked to somebody totally in favor of reparations and asked if I emptied my bank account and gave my house and cars to black people, would that be enough. they said "no, we need to pay reparations in perpetuity."

so that's the answer. no amount of suffering and no financial amount will fix the problem in some people's mind. i do actually agree with the fact that we can't put a price on slavery or the lack of civil rights, so reparations are foolish to begin with.

this person also shared a tweet that we could make every person in America a millionaire if we actually wanted to.

never mind that the idea of 330 trillion transient dollars in the US doesn't exist in actuality, so that's the type of brain power you're actually working with usually.
