Joe isn’t a journalist. His podcast is for entertainment. I think he has done a good thing by inviting the candidates on so you can hear them talk for more than 20 seconds without being interrupted.

This is spot on. By his own account, he's a comedian who makes pecker and fart jokes and is no expert on a lot of the issues his guests talk about. He voices his opinions, but doesn't usually grill people unless it's something he knows well. He brings people who he finds interesting onto his show and let's them talk long form. Same as anyone who wants the other person to talk a lot, you slightly mirror what they're saying. If he was very confrontational, a lot of people would be less likely to go on.

Is this your first time listening to Joe? He does this on the regular to allow people to speak to his wide audience. He pushes back in a humorous way on lighter fluff subjects. It's why I like him. He has way more journalist integrity than actual journalist. He is NOT a media propagandist like FOX, CNN, MSNBC, Rush, etc...

Rogan talks big but whenever a leftist goes on his show he usually grovels for them. Which is why Sanders even went on.
