I'll be honest, Trump pissed me off when he quipped at the rally that he should allow the Democrat run cities to destroy themselves. He says, I can fix it in 5 minutes...Okay, by standing by trying to prove a point, these cities are being burned, people are being assaulted, killed, livelihood destroyed. I already know how badly these cities are run, but Democrats do not care. Does Trump not realize there are good hardworking people still living in these blue cities. I wanted him to send national guard in on day one! He claimed he could go around the governors and mayors, but decided to allow cities be destroyed anyway. I know Democrats are worse, but I don't have faith in Trump either. These disasters are happening on his watch, and he's more worried about how he looks, just stop and be a damn leader!

I wish that were true, but in 2018, the silent majority stayed silent and gave the House Democrats a 40 seat majority! Don't think for a second that can't happen in 2020. We were blessed and lucky in 2016. The elites have had 4 years to sabotage Trump. They try everyday, and it worked for them in 2018.

It’s a different world. He sends in some form of the military it is used to reinforce the narrative the handlers of the leftists have put out there. I agree there are good hard-working people in these cities, but a vast majority of them have allowed themselves to be used in the name of social agendas that have no place in politics. They elected these people who are incompetent and unable and unwilling to perform the basic duties of the jobs they were handed. They are learning a lesson (hopefully) about the importance of not only voting but for whom you cast your vote and the underlying principles they represent.
Also, the pendulum always swings. At some point we will get another Obama in charge. I’m not for setting a precedent of putting the military on the streets and that be used by the next guy.

We've pretty much been on it since March.

Well you are right of course on how the narrative would play into their hands, but do you not think that narrative would be more likely to get Trump reelected. They have that narrative anyway, whether he takes action or not. But by not taking actions, I feel demoralized as one of his supporters. He was supposed to be a strong leader who brought back jobs while keeping our borders safe. I didn't eject someone who is just a placeholder for the next Obama.

When all the latest spun up, it cast a light on just how many uninformed people there are in this country. I have an extremely limited social media presence, but the number of people in my circle who came out in support of and promoting fundraising for the BLM movement was astounding. Without understanding the roots and publicly broadcast mission of the organization, they just went with it because it was social media’s “right thing to do”. Well, their wake up call is being allowed to play out in front of them daily, so it is up to them to awaken themselves and pay attention to what these groups are actually going for. Hopefully more and more wake up every day and carry that awakening into November and beyond.

This is what the Biden campaign wants so they can say Trump is a dictator. Remember EVERYTHING happening today is orchestrated by the Democratic Party. By any means necessary

That's the problem, they aren't waking up. If you believe the polls, which I have only a modicum of faith in, voters are blaming Trump because they've been convinced he's a racist who caused these riots, looting, etc. Clearly, they keep voting for Dems so they don't believe they are responsible.

Exactly, and by allowing them to frame Trump as somehow responsible for the looting as a response to his so-called racist policies, we are allowing them to win. He needs to not just put his foot down, he must stomp down hard on the anarchy, or that will be their winning strategy going forward. Anytime a Republican wins, riot and blame the Republicans.

Then it will need to play out further and let the left expose more of their real agenda. The federal government stepping in and forcefully putting a halt to it now does nothing more than put a bandaid on the country until January. Then that bandaid will be ripped off in the form of Joe Biden and whichever fanatical running mate he chooses. We are in a war, but it’s a different type of war at this point.

Why should I be under martial law when my city is perfectly fine? My cops and politicians don't let mobs destroy the city. I'm not a fan of martial law in general, either.

Never. It's never time for that. If good people can't stand up for what's right without the help of government then they deserve whatever they get. When you defer responsibility of your future to an entity as inherently corrupt and power thirsty as governments then you deserve your subsequent subjugation that will follow.
The ends do not justify the means. I would rather live in the dangerous freedom of Anarchy then under the tyranny of an all-powerful oppressive government.
This is the free man's creed.
