I have no idea - but it seems to me that if a financial institution gets defrauded by a con-man using your property as a tool - then that's on the financial instiution. They should have better controls.
they do, they take your home away and sell it to make you pay for their mistake

The county is being very careless if they allow unverifiable acces to a homeowner's property title and should be held accountable for allowing the theft of that title.
The deed to your property is public record. They don’t “protect” anything. Anyone can just walk in and look at your property deed.
With that said… I’ve have never heard of anyones property being fraudulently transferred by some Joe criminal walking in and just filing documents. And that’s all that happens. It’s next to impossible to do it “online”.
They for sure cannot borrow money on it unless there is a criminal title company that is in on it. A notary that would ignore identification requirements too.

Has anyone ever been they substantial to major litigation?
It’s usually not always who’s “right or correct”, it’s who has the better legal team and deeper pockets. Especially in litigious Banana Republic States like Louisiana.
The thought of having to fight a substantial sized “financial institution” has bankruptcy written all over it. It’s some sad days we living in & the little to middle ground folks are being set up by the machine on every level.
There was a developer in Belle Chasse, La. Decades ago that apparently got deep into gambling etc… & he developed a scheme to sell the same vacant lots in a new subdivision multiple times where several families each owned the same lots. Not sure of the inner workings of his scheme, but it happened and he eventually went to jail, but many buyers lost their asses.

This is a scam. Programs the allow these snake oil salesmen to advertise this should be boycotted.
