So is there no case where a family can be on welfare temporarily when they are on hard times, then later get off of it when they improve their situation? That's the ideal vision behind welfare.

Again, that ideal is often thrown to the side by politicians looking to gain power and support. I agree with you there.

I am in favor of very selective welfare, and only temporary.

That is not the way our system is set up.

The thing that is wrong is white supremacism...which formed the base of this country and was the bedrock of its politics and general behavior for over 350 years. The things that today's right-wingers threaten revolution over are child's play compared to real-life, institutionalized terrorism which black people cowered under well into the late-20th century.

The problem is an utter lack of perspective and an ignorance of history.

The problem is that the word racist has lost all meaning because it is used so liberally. To use the same word describe burning a cross in someone's front yard and saying a certain portion of the population has a culture problem is lunacy, and yet its exactly what we do.

We even go so far as to call black people who speak out against black culture uncle toms.

Not any worse than black supremacism, or jewish supremacism, or any other.

But people of any group have a natural right to align and conserve their own ethnic and cultural heritage, including white people.

Agreed and this is why I don't inherently have a problem with the confederate flag. Symbolism means different things to different people and to me the confederate flag is about southern pride.

Unfortunately a lot of ignorant people use that flag to flaunt their racist views against black people.

Oh absolutely!
I totally agree.

But if that ideal vision ever primarily drove the program, it does not now.

Welfare is promoted as a safety net. It is enacted as a dependency trap.

We've been agreeing a lot lately. Something is wrong

Yes, in theory. In practice, white supremacism ruled the roost for centuries.

I accidentally gave you a green arrow, damn fat fingers.

But more to the point, do you think there is a reason whites reigned supreme for a few centuries? Do you have any rational answers?

It's just what happened. Are you trying to get me to say that blacks are inherently inferior? I won't. Same way I won't say Jews are inferior for having been annihilated by Hitler.

The relevant historical fact is that this country is founded on white supremacism. Do you or do you not accept that historical fact?

Except for the Roman Empire, the Greek Empire, the Persian Empire, the Macedonian Empire, Ottoman Empire, Russian Empire, and ALL OF EASTERN IMPERIALISM of which I have neither the time nor the patience to list here.

The history of man is a history of violence for resources and sales markets. It doesn't bend for irrelevant, superficial characteristics like skin tone. The stronger civilizations conqueror the weaker ones either by violence, policy, or a combination of both and the weaker one becomes exploited.

To suggest that 350 years of civilizations' evolution was primarily based on ideology in racial superiority is nonsense.

You're an idiot.

This country was founded because the British Empire ran up an unsatisifiable debt in the Seven Years War and then tried to tax the shite out of the colonies in order to pay it down.

I think racism is a innate characteristic that we all share. The level to which we act on it in my mind is what defines a racist.

Personally I dont feel any type of way about what the owner had to say. He is just saying what many believe but would never say.

In his "culture" a white girl hanging around black people gives off a certain perception. If most are willing to be truthful, we see said football player take a picture with white chicks on a visit, he has to be knocking them down.

The major issue today many people share the guys views but would never openly admit to them. The reason is in today's world it is frowned upon to be considered racist. You can be racist or have racist thoughts or actions, just dont show it openly or get caught.

I know several white males who have raised their daughters specifically not to date black males. Is that racist? I know black mothers who would literally die if their son came home with a white female. Is that racist? I know white males who deem it acceptable to date asian women or even hispanic women, but black women are unacceptable. Is that racist?

The only wounds that this country has to heal are the ones inflicted by the race mixers!

Just out of curiosity, have you ever stayed an extended amount of time in another country?
