Never. Happens.

This is a political "hit" that is sending a message to the rank and file.

Al Franken disagrees. They wanted very badly to defend him and would have were it not for the picture. The picture was a bridge too far.

My take on it is that it's becoming more and more clear that Cuomo has rendered himself persona non grata, which is certainly a dramatic event within the Democratic Party. But as is standard, the rest of the Democrats intend on making someone else's loss their gain. They're like parasites attacking a host of opportunity. In this instance they will use Cuomo to demonstrate that they oh so willing to call out one of their own, to show evenhandedness. None of which they truly are in an honest way, however, because again, the only way they're willing to do it is if the person's going down the drain regardless. It's like a pack of hyenas finishing off and eating one of their own, because they sense a fatal injury to the "victim" exists.

I agree that’s the most likely scenario. Corruption doesn’t bother them a bit, but they squeal so loudly about “me too” that it’s embarrassing when one of their own is getting hammered, and most importantly Cuomo is expendable. Just because the media blew him for a year doesn’t mean he’s viable on the national stage, so it’s not like they’re losing much.

Bill Clinton disagrees with his disagreement.

Al Franken was disposable and a one off.

They are re-setting their party and Clinton loyalists have to go. I have to give Obama credit. He is running all of this from behind the scenes. Keeping his fingerprints off of the dirty work. Trump could never have pulled this off with the Republicans. They are too feckless and weak.

You said it never happens. I never claimed it always happens.

So is Cuomo. I don’t put anything past Obama, but the timing doesn’t make sense. Last year there was actual talk of him running for president and conservatives had already pointed out his nursing home fiasco. Why not hamstring him then? I don’t think the guy is viable nationally, and this gives them a chance to virtue signal with little downside. It’s not like NY is going to elect a DeSantis. Even if they forced him to resign he’d be replaced by someone similar.

I can't help but think that especially Harris would be tearing him a new arse about the sexual harassment stuff if it were a political hit job. In fact it seems as if the White House has been quite reluctant to weigh in, unless and until absolutely unavoidable.

But what do I know. Admittedly probably not a whole lot.

Neither Biden nor Harris want anyone poking into their pasts. That is the reason for their silence.

Obama is pulling the strings on this one behind the scenes. Kudos to him for keeping his “associates” in line. Tougher bastard than I thought he was.

Sword of Damocles, I like the analogy.

I guarantee you Obama has a file on every prominent person in politics, judicial etc. What do we think all those 1000s of unauthorized "ask queries" into the NSA system, under obama were for? They certainly were not all for Trump, probably a small piece.

My point is, they had the goods on cuomo long long before it went public, they probably have another half dozen women lined up if the need arises.

The real question is who is running Obama?

Excellent question. Monied interests is the best answer I can give. I am not up to date on the latest New World Order theories (Soros, Jobs et al).
