Well I can’t debate someone who lives in an alternate universe.
No one “got caught” doing anything.
We released assets we seized under sanction as part of the lifting sanctions in an international deal that would have prevented Iran from developing a nuclear weapon for as long as it were active.

Yea dumbass because Obama was soft on them he not only unfroze assets he sent them pallets of cash. John Kerry admitted the money would be used for terrorism. They didn’t deserve to be off sanctions either Obama just fancied the mullahs. And here we are fixing this fricking problem created by Obama, again worst foreign policy move of my lifetime.

In 2017, Iran had a tiny stockpile of 3% enriched uranium.
In 2018 Trump renegged, imposed sanctions, and then we assassinate Soleimani & shite goes out of control. Now we’re dropping bombs.

In September 2023, the Biden administration allowed the transfer of $6 billion in frozen Iranian oil revenue from South Korea to Qatar, not Iran directly, to secure the release of five detained Americans. The funds were designated strictly for humanitarian trade (food/medicine) under U.S. monitoring
The potato didn’t do any monitoring because……..
This was about 4 weeks before Oct 7. The first time they asked anybody in Iran about the conditions for the use of the money the reply was “ we will use it for whatever we choose”…….. which turned out to be funding Oct 7th.
I can’t remember how many time Biden said “don’t don’t don’t “ to them during the 4 weeks period. But he got rolled and lied to just like Obama

Wooden pallets of cash flown out overnight in an unmarked cargo plane.

I don’t defend the prisoner exchange & I don’t think Biden really did anything constructive, but the damage was done in 2018. It was our first diplomacy with them in 35 years & involved several other countries… Dealing with them now isn’t on the table.
It wasn’t a necessary move & seems the only backup plan to that decision was escalating to conflict. He was asking for terms that were unrealistic.
MAGA loves stick rattling geopolitics & claims to hate hawks in the same breath.
