I'm no Iran Mullah fan boy but when you consider what the U.K. and the US have done to that country over the past 100 years it's pretty clear why they have some disdain for the West.

Russia should not be an enemy. The US essentially bankrupted the Soviet Union and failed to secure a long term relationship with Russia, instead the US Corporatocracy chose China as the destination to outsource its industrial/manufacturing base.

The West/US installed the Shah and it all went to hell after that. I believe we provided Iraq with some munitions to fight Iran in the 80's and now after the US spent trillions of dollars the Iranians and Iraqis are allied against the US.

Does not describe an enemy. Of course the type of government they live under is of concern as the US not wanting to be that type of governed people.

Yeah ok. They are still dangerous but whatever. You just haven’t given any context as to why the distance away makes any difference. Then being a “superpower” is hardly an argument
