I don’t see the Iranian government giving up power by the time Trump leaves office if he keeps this line of action.

Good heavens man it is our impatience that the enemy counts on. The Revolution was fought over a six year period.
Iran is not run by rational people. Robert E Lee didn’t want the suffering to continue so he surrendered but could have held out for years with guerilla warfare. He was rationale and cared about his people. God Bless Robert E Lee.

Now, substitute Japan for Iran and Hirohito for Lee, and you will see the state Japan was in after Hiroshima and Nagasaki. There were diehards in their military who were ready to sacrifice their people until the last man, woman, and child. Iran doesn’t have a Emperor Hirohito though, just a phantom Supreme Leader who no Iranian has seen.
