No, he's not wrong. Christmas is also a pagan holiday that was originally the celebration of the winter solstice (Yule in Norse).
This is to be expected when the Romans introduced (by force) Christianity to the pagans of Europe. Traditions kinda merged.
But none of that means it's not a Christian tradition.

I understand the christian holiday, but I also don't see why it is that big of a deal even if it isn't on there.
I don't get a day off for it, so I don't need to see it on my calendar.

Au contraire. Litigating Tax Lawyers are about to make a killing. Once the Service starts denying some of the interpretations of the new tax law, specifically the 199A stuff, there will be LOTS of litigation and tax guys are going to be even richer.
As I said...that stuff is for nerds, though. I'm way too cool to participate. Even if it means foregoing all of that cash.
