Interesting experience last night at a townhall with my US Congressman

The place was packed. For a short notice event at a restaurant, probably over 500 people there. Thomas Massey (R) from KY
Almost every question was about election fraud and what are we going to do about it. No one seemed to care about anything else. Lots of very fired up angry ladies yelling. 95% of questions were about voting and elections.
The majority of the crowd was white people, but there were two groups of black people, a couple of Asian people, and a Hispanic couple, maybe more but that's all I noticed. 75% of the crowd was 50+. There was a black woman who was was shouting "that's right" whenever someone made a point.
FWIW...Spoke to a man (Vietnam Vet) who is involved in the lawsuit and forensic audit in GA. He has personally worked with Jovan Politzer and swears by him and what his team can do with detecting fraudulent QR codes. He said the evidence that will be shown in AZ and GA will be incredible, and will be the first chance to get the actual evidence before a court.
A man with a marine vet hat stood up and spoke. He went down the list of all the liberties being taken away, and pressed my congressman what can be done about it, what outlet we the people had. He didn't really answer the question directly, but said it does need to start on the local level. I think we all understood what the guy was implying, as it is written write in the Declaration if Independence.
Got a chance to personally speak to Massie about the state of the Republican party. He said there is nothing wrong with Republican party platform and no need to start a new party. The problem is with the people being elected in the party (from local to federal). He said if Republicans get back in power the focus needs to be on repealing legislation not creating new legislation and identifying and exposing bad (R)s, not hiding them. The main reason the federal court system is such a mess is we have too many laws on the book that interfere with the spirit of the Constitution. But in the mean time there needs to be more grassroots effort to primary weak (R)s and better vetting and accountability for their replacements. He said people need to get out of their comfort zone and get engaged in local politics, school boards, and precincts.

No. He didn't vote with some who withheld, but had a very principled Constitutional reason similar to Rand Paul. Didn't agree with him, but understood where he was coming from.

Massie was the only person to vote against the original covid stimulus package in the House or Senate. Paul and Lee were both out with covid and couldn't vote. Massie made them actually vote because he opposed they had to show up and take a vote. The man is principled and has balls. Best member of the House since Dr. Ron Paul

Glad to hear it.....election fraud interest.
I have said it repeatedly, if we cant have honest and fair elections, nothing else matters!

I had a company seminar I was in, then received a request to participate in a survey. Sure, why not. It delved into politics and asked what was my most pressing concern, and there was no selection for my most pressing concern, but there was "OTHER".
So, under "OTHER" I wrote,
"ELECTION INTEGRITY and DISTRUST in my government's validity."

The platform is fine. The fact that the elected republicans do diddly shite to uphold not only the platform but the Constitution is the reason we need a third party.

That has been the focus for decades. We are still saddled with a spineless, capitulating Republican Party. If we haven’t made any progress since 1994, what progress can we realistically expect in the next 25-30 years?
Sounds to me like you were fed the establishment party line. Not sure why so many are impressed with him.

So you start a 3rd party with the same platform, but none of the infrastructure. What is going to prevent said new 3rd party from not getting corrupted as well? It's been a slow process, but progress has been made on getting real conservative Republicans in and bad Republicans out. We still have too many Liz Cheney's admittedly.

With the poll manipulations we've seen, no 3rd party candidate will ever be allowed to debate based on the rules established by the Commission on Presidential Debates.

After the clown show from 2020 debates, Republicans should not engage with these guys again.

Not necessarily the same platform, but okay. If you read the Republican platform, it’s not bad. The problem is they treat it just like many treat the Constitution. It gets minimized, ignored, and violated with no consequences. There could be built in consequences and enforcement. It wouldn’t be that difficult.

You’re fooling yourself. We just witnessed the destruction of our election system, and the end of the power wielded by the citizens in electing their representation. What did our elected republicans do about it? Not a damn thing. We have more spineless republicans now than we have ever had.

You are very lucky to have Massie as your congressman.
For those of you who aren't familiar with him, check out the documentary on his home in Kentucky: Off the Grid with Thomas Massie
